Teaching Diplomas: Upgrading Your Skills

About the Event

Studying for a teaching diploma is a tried and true way to build each of the skills that are required to be a successful private or group music teacher. The diploma covers aspects of pedagogy, psychological development, technical development, repertoire choices and guides teachers to creating a wholistic teaching philosophy and a successful studio.

As well as this, teachers will upgrade their performance skills in the process of studying and preparing for the examinations.

In this one-day workshop, Anthony van den Broek and Brenda Hunting will show how it is possible to upgrade your pedagogical and performance skills, with an emphasis on creating a free and healthy technique at the same time.

"Undertaking the ATMusA was a project I'd be wanting to undertake for years. In the process of preparing for the exam, Anthony helped me play with more freedom and ease than I ever thought possible. I have become an excellent model of performance for my students, I am able to troubleshoot and provide solutions in lessons, and I am now playing and teaching at a level I never dreamed of previously." - Matthew H.

My playing has significantly developed by applying the principles of the Taubman Approach. This has brought ease and confidence in my piano students. Brenda's expertise greatly contributed to the retention of students and overall success of my studio." Caroline O.

"I cannot more highly recommend undertaking these diplomas. The process transformed my playing and teaching and gave me the skills and confidence to expand my business. Anthony was an invaluable mentor, piano teacher and support through the CTMusA and ultimately guided me to success!" - Ellen R.
